Title: The Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago1 Dr. The Rt. Honourable Eric Williams recently addressed the opening session of the Centre’s “JOINT CONSULTATION & PRODUCTIVITY BARGAINING” SEMINAR, at the Trinidad Manufacturers Association Exhibition Hall, Anderson Terrace, Maraval. August 26, 1969
Author Williams, Eric Eustace,
Abstract: It is always a pleasure for me to be given the opportunity to speak to responsible members of the community on matters which are vitally important to our country’s existence and progress. The opportunity I have here today is no exception. On the contrary, I regard your seminar as being particularly significant, both because of the subject with which it deals and because it provides a valuable forum consisting of highly competent individuals keenly interested in recognising our problems and in finding realistic solutions to them based on sound analyses of those problems within the context of the economy’s overall development. The fact that you as individuals are so placed within the economy as to be able to implement plans for the effective solution of our problems makes this occasion of even greater significance to me.
