Title: The Foreign Relations Of Trinidad And Tobago Speech by the Honourable Dr. Eric Williams, Prime Minister and Minister of External Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago in the House of Representatives – December 6th, 1963
Author Williams, Eric Eustace,
Abstract: Our debate today takes place in an atmosphere of general uncertainty in the world, an uncertainty which has been aggravated by the untimely removal of the late President of the United States of America. As a result of that untimely removal there is a new head of government in the United States of America and in recent months or weeks there have been changes in respect of heads of government also in the United Kingdom, the Federal Republic of Germany and Italy also, I believe, to a point where perhaps one might say that the Prime ·Minister of the
United Kingdom, partly on the basis of his experience in foreign affairs in previous years, emerges today as the statesman if not of the greatest experience in the world, as the one who has had the greatest contact between different countries and on different sides of the international fence.
