| Abstract: | Mr. Ray, Mr. Davis, welcoming TENNECO and the People’s Gas having signed the necessary papers I would just like to make a brief stc1tement of record on behalf of our Cabinet. As authorised by the Cabinet I have signed the documents containing the Principles of Agreement on which will be based the development of the LNG project of Trinidad and Tobago. we in the Government have rec1ched this position today after considerable deliberations on the matter as you know. In these deliberations assurances were given by i1ll parties concerned that natural gas to supply the generation of electricity, to supply the miscellaneous small industrial customers, to supply the priority projects we have in mind – steel, aluminum, fertilizer, methanol – were well taken care of of. |
