| Abstract: | The behaviour of conglomerates, their influence over banking institutions over the media, indeed, even over politicians and senior public servants become world-wide phenomena. A government such as the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, with responsibility for providing every citizen with the opportunity to develop to bis or her full potential, must be fully aware of this, and where possible, and within the constitutional and legal framework, take appropriate steps – to counter leu by inhibiting than by encouraging smaller and medium sized businesses. |
