| Abstract: | Mr. Lau, Your Worship the Mayor, Your Excellency the Canadian High Commissioner, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen. I am indeed grateful to Mr. Lau for asking me here today to formally declare open this new Food Processing Plant. This new industry is a further indication of the confidence which businessmen and industrialists t both local and foreign have in the government and the citizens of this country. Confidence in the government not only for its ability to promote and maintain an atmosphere favourable for industrial development, but also for providing the institutions which though tardy at times give assistance and encouragement to investors to come to Trinidad and Tobago and start new industries here. |
