| Abstract: | The Cabinet has asked me to make certain comments in respect of some or the points that have been made here, and to announce some decisions. I think I will stop now and accommodate some of those who indicated a wish to speak at some other stage of the Consultation. Before making the Cabinet statement, may I just announce to the Consultation that the Public Relations Officer of the Government has taken steps to correct the totally inaccurate story that appeared in one of today’s newspapers. It’s not only inaccurate, it strongly suggests in some respects that it is unconstitutional and the correct story has been repeated by the Public Relations Officer. I don’t believe anybody at the Consultation misunderstood the Cabinet’s decision |
