| Abstract: | SHASTRI, Lal Bahadur Death of The Prime Minister (Dr. the Rt. Hon. E. E. Williams) : Mr. Speaker, I am sure that hon. Members opposite will agree with me in proposing that you as the Speaker of this House send to the Government and people of India through His Excellency the High Commissioner of India our regret at the passing of the Indian Prime Minister so suddenly and so unexpectedly. It is a very sad day for me, Sir, because only a few minutes ago I received a Christmas card signed by Mr. Shastri wishing me and the people and Government of Trinidad and Tobago all the very best for 1966. |
