| Abstract: | IT IS INCONCEIVABLE that anyone could think of comparing Trinidad and Tobago with Puerto Rico to fool people that proportional representation (PR) makes for a superior economy than a country which uses the first past the post system.
• Dr. Williams told the PNM rally of its northern constituencies that there is no such place as Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico, said Dr. Williams, is one of millions of place names in the United States, Puerto Rico, he added, is the United States. • However, Dr. Williams also gave his personal views about Puerto Rico’s relation with the United States and the movement for independence in that country. |
