| Abstract: | The comprehensive restructuring of the Trinidad and Tobago economy which is now in progress, based on the outstanding current developments in the field of the energy based industries 1 must not be allowed to overshadow our undoubted achievements on the financial scene. 2. During this year Trinidad and Tobago made its entry into the international capital markets when it successfully placed a US $150 r-1. Euro-dollar Syndicated Bank Loan on extremely favourable terms. This Loan was underwritten by 19 banks from the following countries – United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, Netherlands, Federal Republic of Germany. |
